Financial Reporting & Controls Lead
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Financial Reporting & Controls Lead to join our dynamic, fast-growing organisation based in North Dublin on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
About the Role
The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of three, reporting directly to the Senior Management Team. This is an ideal opportunity to bring your expertise and leadership skills to a collaborative and results-driven finance team.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the company's accounting systems, ensuring accurate data entry and robust financial reporting.
* Manage both strategic and operational finance functions, including accounts payable, receivables, and general ledger activities, to maintain efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns, corporate tax filings, and other statutory financial requirements in a timely manner.
* Conduct tax reviews to optimise financial efficiency, oversee tax filings, manage audits, and ensure full compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
* Produce monthly financial reports, analyse key data trends, and provide ad hoc financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Maintain responsibility for lease management, ensuring updates are completed each month.
* Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to guarantee compliance and accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA) with a solid foundation in financial reporting, accounting principles, and tax regulations.
* A minimum of 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical, logistics, or multinational sectors.
* Proven expertise in financial reporting, audit management, and budgeting processes.
* Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex financial data and delivering strategic insights.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong IT skills to support financial analysis and reporting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and present financial information to senior leadership.
