Job Title: Quality Technician
Maintain quality standards by approving incoming parts, conducting first-off and finished product inspections, recording quality results, and generating various quality reports.
Key Responsibilities:
* Pre-plan and prepare First Article Inspection Reports in preparation for product arrival from Production.
* Approve first articles by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting unacceptable parts, and communicating required adjustments to production operators/supervisors.
* Approve finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
* Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into a quality database.
* Acquire material and subcontract certificates for submission with FAI Reports.
* Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs and calibrations.
* Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products.
* Ensure all products have been tested and meet standards, measured to specifications, and within tolerances.
* Conduct internal audits and process audit checks throughout the manufacturing facility.
* Verify production first-off and last-off samples by conducting visual and measurement tests to product specifications.
* Maintain a health and safety work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
* Participate in investigating and resolving non-conformances, customer complaints, and health and safety issues.
* Support and assist in maintaining the Quality Management System throughout the organization.
* Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
* Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineers.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* 2+ years of working in a Quality-related role.
* Able to work with minimal supervision.
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Good computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Experience of dimensional measurement inspections using metric and imperial measurement units.
* Proficient in the use of calipers, height gauges, thread gauges.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
