Career CategoryEngineeringJob DescriptionJob DescriptionRole Overview:Senior Manager to join International Engineering Capital Projects team at Amgen Dun Laoghaire. Management of a portfolio of projects against Safety, Cost, Quality and Schedule commitments, Delivers Project Portfolio to support the strategic objectives of the site.Key Responsibilities:Leads a team of Project Managers to deliver the annual Capital Project Portfolio in compliance with Safety, Cost, Schedule and Quality requirements.Ensures the delivery of projects through the Engineering Project Delivery Process.Works with Project Controls to manage and report on the Capital Budget for the assigned portfolio.Liaise with Site PMO on Project prioritization, resources management, status management and external communication associated with the portfolio.Provides support to project managers from concept, through design and on to construction, commissioning and handover.Provide direct leadership and technical guidance to project managers to ensure cost effective options and optimum contracting strategies are pursued.Support team members in the management of third party contractors and outsourced partners to ensure the optimal delivery of portfolio against safety, cost, quality and schedule objectives.Drive a safety culture through the project teams and ensure that the portfolio is executed in compliance with site and corporate regulatory authority guidelines.Optimise the use of AMGENs resources to leverage SME knowledge, collaborating across the Network team to minimize project cost and complexity.Lead engagement of staff in a dynamic business environment.Working with various stakeholders, to agree scope of projects and ensure the requirements are satisfied.Participate as a member of multidisciplinary site and multisite teams.Support a safe working environment by complying with all pertinent environmental health/safety practice, rules and regulations.Education / Experience:Extensive experience of leading a large portfolio of Capital Projects cumulatively >$50MM annually.Technical qualification at third level or equivalent in Engineering.Experience of Project Management on Biopharmaceutical projects would be an advantage.Typically 8+ years' engineering experience, preferably in the biotechnology/bio-processing industry.Knowledge of safety, GMP and environmental regulatory requirements.Proven ability of working cross functionally, delivering technical solutions and identifying improvements.Solid leadership, technical writing, communication and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.Travel at various times may be required to support execution of projects..
