Site Engineer Mixed Residential Development (Houses & Duplexes) Location: Naas, Co. Kildare, Ireland Salary: €45,000 - €60,000 per annum Client: Tier 1 Irish Main Construction Contractor Overview: Our client, a leading Tier 1 Irish construction contractor, is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Engineer for a mixed residential development project in Naas. The project involves the construction of houses and duplexes with timber frame structures. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction, particularly with timber frame structures, and a strong ability to manage site operations, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure high standards of safety and quality on-site. Key Responsibilities: Site Supervision: Manage and oversee the day-to-day site activities for the development, ensuring the construction of houses and duplexes is progressing according to plan. Timber Frame Construction: Provide technical expertise and guidance on the timber frame structure, ensuring all work complies with the design specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations. Site Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure that materials and resources are available on-site when required. Monitor the progress of the work and address any delays or issues. Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and adhere to relevant building regulations. Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with the drawings, specifications, and contract requirements. Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a strong focus on health and safety, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the companys health and safety policies. Technical Support: Provide technical support to the project team and ensure that any engineering issues are promptly addressed. Assist in solving any on-site technical challenges or queries. Progress Reporting: Assist with the preparation of progress reports for senior management, highlighting any potential delays or issues and proposing solutions. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records, including daily reports, site diaries, and work permits, ensuring proper documentation for quality control and compliance. Requirements: Education: A Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline (Chartered status not required). Experience: 2-5 years of experience in site engineering within the construction industry, ideally with residential projects. Experience with timber frame structures is highly advantageous. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with timber frame construction methods, site engineering practices, and construction materials. Health & Safety: Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment on-site.
