The Position The position of Group Reservations and Revenue Manager is an exciting opportunity for an individual interested in playing a significant role within Clare Tourism and we are inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for this competition. It is proposed to form a panel of qualified candidates to fill the vacancy of Group Reservations and Revenue Manager on a full-time permanent contract. The successful applicant will report to the Head of Commercial and Shared Services and works closely with Senior Management within Clare Tourism to develop a World Class Visitor Experience. The Group Reservations and Revenue Manager will have the responsibility for providing and supporting the reservations teams. In particular the implementation, of revenue management strategies and processes with the administration and development of a reservations system. The mission of the Clare Tourism includes the provision of a World Class Visitor Experience. Priority areas for the Group Reservations and Revenue Manager are: Responsible for planning, organising and optimising all activities of revenue management for the business. Ensuring a safe and a world class visitor experience is provided and helping to embed a culture of a great place to work through trust, respect and safety through training and development. Specific Duties and Responsibilities The main duties of the Group Reservations and Revenue Manager include: Develop and implement a bespoke booking and reservations system and contribute to the improvement, development and maintenance of this booking and revenue management system. Supporting and monitoring the reservations departments at Clare Tourism managing the team. Work closely with the senior management develop rate strategies. Development of Key Performance Indicators, weekly yield and monthly revenue reports. Produce month end reports with a strong emphasis on past, current and future performance analysis. Utilitise rate comparison reports to identify and react to pricing opportunities within the business. Works closely with the operational management team throughout Clare Tourism and manages the development and understanding of the trade and booking system to assist with capacity management for all sites. Works closing with management throughout Clare tourism to develop standard operating procedures on the organization rates. Act as the principle point of contact for anyone with questions about reservations and yield management. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations including open communication with all employees. Assist sales teams with trade contracts renewals, ensuring that all trade partners are compliant with their contracts. Supporting the sales and marketing management teams with promotional information to drive sales in all Clare Tourism Visitor attraction sites. Assist the Sales and Marketing teams to promote and grow online bookings. Delivers on specific projects that may be assigned from time to time Supports and works in conjunction with the senior management to ensure best practice throughout all reservations and yield management operations at the Clare Tourism Visitor attraction sites Participate in outreach activities to support Clare County Council associated tourist attractions and services as required. Requirements/Essential Skills and Attributes Proven track record in yield/ revenue management/ reservations with at least 5 years management experience Candidate will ideally have a Diploma / Degree in a similar or related discipline in tourism / visitor management, business /finance or related field qualification is required Experience in PC based systems and technologies Experience in reporting systems and technologies Analytical and commercial in approach Good knowledge of e learning platforms Good knowledge of a Health & Safety System Flexibility and a strong problem-solving approach to issues Experience of managing people in a small to medium size enterprise Ability to demonstrate a high level of teamwork & motivation skills Proven organisational skills & experience in multi-tasking A commitment to excellence, continual innovation & world class service delivery Ability to enforce Clare Tourism Development DAC standards, policies, and procedures with Employees Ability to focus attention to details Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of visitor and company information Additional Information Strong work ethic with a flexible attitude and approach Willingness to put in extra effort to ensure a world class visitor experience is delivered. Applicants should have a full, clean driving licence A strategic approach to the operation, be open to change and have excellent interpersonal skills The position will operate principally at the Shared Services Office located in Ennis and will involve travel to all other tourism sites in the Clare Tourism portfolio.
