They are looking for an architectural technologist to join their team.
About Your New Job
Based in Maynooth, you will be joining a close-knit team to work and collaborate on a mix of residential projects.
Your main duties will include:
1. Design Support and Development: Preparing technical drawings, floor plans, and elevations using CAD software or Building Information Modelling tools and assisting in developing initial design concepts for residential and other projects.
2. Compliance: Ensuring all designs meet the building codes and requirements and working with local authorities to prepare and submit planning applications. Also following Ireland’s Health and Safety at Work Act and ensuring that safety measures are in place during both the design and construction stages. Assisting in preparing Safety Statements and risk assessments.
3. Project Management and Coordination: Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, M&E engineers, and contractors to ensure a seamless process from design through to construction and helping manage project timelines, monitor budgets, and ensure the project stays within scope and on schedule.
4. Communication: Maintaining clear communication with clients, understanding their needs, presenting design proposals, and incorporating feedback into the project.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Preparing comprehensive construction documentation, including specifications, construction details, and schedules, and ensuring that all aspects of the project meet certification standards and working with local authorities for sign-offs and certifications as required.
What Skills You Need
A Relevant Qualification in Architecture/Architectural Technology and experience working in a similar role, particularly on residential projects.
Working knowledge of Irish building codes and regulations is essential.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other industry-standard design software.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
