Forensic Fire Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer
The ideal candidate will possess an electrical, mechanical or fire engineering background with associated academic qualifications. A hands-on trade background is advantageous but not necessary.
About the Role
As a forensic investigator, you will be working on varied and interesting cases. Your role may involve excavating fire-damaged factories, attending meetings with senior council members, and documenting your findings in reports for clients. You will be adaptable to changing environments and skilled at dealing effectively with people.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct origin and cause investigations at fire scenes
* Record written and photographic evidence, secure witness statements, and collect relevant data
* Review building regulations, industry standards, and best practices
* Diagnose faults and solve complex problems through internet research and product recalls
Requirements
* Electrical, mechanical, or fire engineering background with associated academic qualifications
* Observant and inquisitive mind
* Ability to adapt to changing environments
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
* Familiarity with Microsoft Word
* Full driving licence
