Position Description The Networks IT & Digital Strategy team requires a full-time Team Member to join the Portfolio Management team.
The IT Portfolio Management Team is responsible for ensuring all investment in IT, Digital and Data is governed through strategic transformation programmes, has necessary funding and budgets in place and is aligned to relevant price review allowances across the business.
Working closely with ESB Networks transformation programmes the team defines the annual IT budget and ensures alignment with Finance and CIO.
The team also provides reporting and forecasting of IT, Digital and Data spend to a range of stakeholders in ESB Networks.
This position will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop/enhance the following skills: In-depth knowledge of current and new IT technologies that are being developed for the electricity market and provide a great opportunity for the future development and to progress in the IT field; Stakeholder management: it is expected that the candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders: Portfolio Management CIO, Finance, Procurement, Digital Accelerator, Digital Factory and Project Delivery; Use of IT applications such as LEAN IX, SAP, Excel, Word etc.

The position suits a self-motivated and innovative thinking candidate with excellent IT, project administration, governance and communication skills who can make a strong contribution in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities IT Portfolio Administration Follow, implement and ensure that IT governance processes are strictly adhered to; Contribute to the development of IT Portfolio Plans, Financial and Regulatory Reporting; Update and maintain IT Portfolio in the source system LEAN IX; Support centrally run IT initiatives including Powering Ahead Transformation Programme, DMSO, SMART Metering, and Telecoms projects as required; support IT Procurement process; Champion innovative ways of working andsupport the increased use of technology and Office 365 across the business as part of Works4You project; provide leadership and share the knowledge with other business units on new IT technological advancements; Ownership and running of the Digital communication channels: including and not limited to Networks IT & Digital Strategy team Yammer & Networks IT Portal with a view of establishment of the IT community, gather the feedback, connect with other communities; Co-ordinate facility/office admin related queries; champion Safety & Sustainability in the workplace.
Experience and Qualifications Essential Applicable Business and/or IT qualifications Relevant business experience and/or a Third level qualification in business, IT or a related discipline Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate information regarding the project in a timely and effective manner; Team player, strong collaboration skills; Excellent IT Skills & Competence; Strong interpersonal skills, including relationship building and influencing; Strong organisational and planning skills.
Desirable Knowledge and working experience of ESB Networks IT systems and their operations.
SAP, SRM, FMIS, Office 365 and others.
Knowledge of Distribution and Transmission Electricity Systems and Wholesale Electricity market in Ireland.
Location Three Gateway, East Wall Road, Dublin 3.
