Job Description
Morgan McKinley is partnering with a leading Irish business in sourcing a Chief Financial Officer to lead their finance function.
The Chief Financial Officer has the overall responsibility for providing strategic financial direction and oversight of the Finance, Risk, Corporate Finance, Treasury and Procurement functions ensuring that all financial activity supports the overall objectives of the organisation. The CFO will partner with the business to improve financial competence and achieve continuous improvement .
Responsibilities
1. Ensuring the organisation is financially sound and maintains long term financial viability
2. Implementing a business partnering model throughout the organisation and facilitating the delivery of objectives
3. Providing leadership, oversight and governance on the financial, forecasting and budgetary process
4. Leading strategy and reporting for the organisation
5. Leading value of money strategy across all activities and ensure cost efficiency at the centre of all decision making.
6. Facilitating the development of and adherence to company policies and internal controls, optimising financial control and managing risk exposure
7. Lead on the financial statutory regulation and complying with all relevant legal and other regulatory requirements
8. Supporting the business to deliver on climate action both in existing stock and in new business
9. Building a high performing team, challenging, and developing staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
10. Encouraging and promoting a culture of delivery, sustainability and customer care across the CFO's remit and contributing to the creation of this culture
Qualifications
11. Qualified accountant ( ACA, ACCA, CIMA ) with a degree in related discipline
12. Ideally a number of years experience in a similar role working at the Executive Level and advising and presenting information at all levels including Board
13. Proven financial control, budget management and strong commercial acumen
