Service Description:
The Physiotherapy department provides inpatient and outpatient services and is available over 24 hours, seven days a week. Services outside normal working hours are provided on an emergency on-call and urgent weekend basis. It has a staff of approximately 90 WTEs with one third dedicated to OPD services. It is a significant provider of student clinical placements, taking circa 110 UCD students per annum. It has active education, research, quality & patient safety and staff wellness programmes within the department.
Job Purpose:
The position requires a strategic approach to the development of Physiotherapy services and structures, embracing continuous quality improvement and the management of changes necessary to achieve departmental and organisational objectives. The Physiotherapist Manager In Charge III will be responsible for providing clinical governance, professional supervision and operational management of the Physiotherapy service, working closely with the HSCP Directorate Lead.
