Associate Director of Services (EHS)
Are you an expert in EHS and chasing a role that brings out the commercial nature in you? Do you want to manage a busy business unit and be all over the P&L for it? This amazing company is a leader in consulting around Health and Safety and the purpose of this role is to deliver services to a broad client base ensuring a best-in-class experience from both a technical and customer experience perspective. Reporting directly to a vibrant COO, the role will be responsible for a department of 20 consultants delivering a Health & Safety service. They are looking for someone who can bring dynamism, operational excellence, and technical expertise and can thrive working in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, someone with a real operational view on how they can enhance the customer journey, deliver the service through all available channels, and embrace technology where possible. The individual will also play a key part in working with the Senior Leadership team to drive H&S sales through their knowledge of the marketplace, driving referrals, and engaging with our Sales Teams.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the Health & Safety function both from a strategic and day-to-day operational viewpoint and to performance targets in relation to client service, retention, referrals, and profitability.
2. Drive performance, development, and motivate the H&S consulting department.
3. Set objectives, vision, and people management, ensuring they achieve their KPI’s through effective use of root cause analysis.
4. Drive and deliver a hands-on culture within the department, remaining close to the detail in every aspect of H&S service delivery.
5. Deliver a continuous improvement culture, consistently reviewing the department from a technical, customer service, commercial, and cost perspective.
6. Maximise the use of technology within the department to drive time and cost savings.
7. Report on and review all H&S delivery metrics to the board on a weekly basis, identifying issues at source quickly and rectifying them.
8. Develop links and relationships with internal stakeholders to enhance and maximise development opportunities.
9. Contribute to effective cross-department and cross-team communication with a particular emphasis on collaborating with the wider teams.
10. Support the continuing accreditation and certification of ISO standards and manage internal Health & Safety compliance.
11. Own the budget for the H&S Department ensuring the department is run commercially and drive cost savings through optimisation of systems, people, and technology.
12. Recruit, manage, and lead a motivated department with a high-performance culture.
YOU
1. Minimum qualification in EHS / Health and Safety.
2. A proven Health & Safety professional with a track record of delivering exceptional H&S services ideally with some client management / consulting experience.
3. Ability to build, manage, and lead successful teams in EHS.
4. Ability to influence and liaise with all levels up to board and good communication / stakeholder management experience.
5. A commercial approach to management and business with good experience in Budgets / P&L – an eye on the ball in terms of revenue and performance.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
€110-120k + Car / Car allowance 12k + Bonus 10-20% + profit share + benefits
