Procurement Manager - FMCG
A leading Irish Food and Beverage company with a culture of inclusivity, positivity, and entrepreneurial spirit is hiring a Procurement Manager due to its rapid business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing all products, negotiating contracts with suppliers at optimal price, service level, and quality, developing supply relationships, managing risks, and enhancing supply performance.
Main Duties:
* Oversee supply performance to meet business needs.
* Source suppliers for required items, including sourcing, qualifying, and adhering to budgets.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and process enhancements within the department.
* Tender and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and service levels are met.
* Build and develop relationships with existing and new suppliers to maintain high standards.
* Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to improve ERP system efficiency.
* Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure supply meets client needs and stays ahead of competitors.
* Monitor supply risks and develop strategies for supply cover, anticipating potential problems.
* Align with the company's sustainability policy within the supply chain.
* Lead and empower team members in the buying and procurement department, providing coaching and mentorship.
* Share innovative ideas to improve the supply chain, procurement, and buying departments.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in a procurement role, with 2-3 years in a management or leadership position.
* Third-level degree in business, procurement, or a food-related discipline.
* Previous experience in FMCG or similar industries, particularly with fresh food distributors, vending machine companies, or supermarket procurement.
* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
