Job Title: Procurement Specialist
Founded in 1994, Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) is the highest accredited contract laboratory in Ireland, providing industry-leading sampling and analysis, and fully trained micro and analytical analysts on contract to clients in the food, environmental, medical device, biopharmaceutical, and pharmaceutical sectors.
We offer bespoke managed service solutions that give clients the option of having our expert team on-site at their own facility or outsourcing those services to us here at CLS.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining cost-effective and efficient procurement processes, essential to supporting our lab services and operations.
Responsibilities:
* SOURCE AND PROCURE LABORATORY EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND SERVICES FROM VENDORS.
* Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts to ensure best value and quality for CLS.
* Maintain relationships with suppliers and manage performance reviews.
* TRACK INVENTORY LEVELS AND COORDINATE TIMELY DELIVERIES TO AVOID SUPPLY SHORTAGES.
* COLLABORATE WITH INTERNAL DEPARTMENTS TO UNDERSTAND MATERIAL NEEDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
* ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH PROCUREMENT POLICIES, BUDGETS, AND QUALITY STANDARDS.
* PREPARE PURCHASE ORDERS, CONTRACTS, AND OTHER PROCUREMENT DOCUMENTATION.
* MONITOR MARKET TRENDS AND DEVELOP STRATEGIES FOR COST SAVINGS.
* REPORT ON PROCUREMENT METRICS AND PROVIDE REGULAR UPDATES TO MANAGEMENT.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally in the laboratory, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships.
* Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as a good understanding of market dynamics.
* Familiarity with procurement software and systems.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
* Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
You are detail-oriented and resourceful, with a passion for driving efficiency in procurement processes. You are confident in negotiating and have a natural ability to build strong supplier relationships. Your analytical mindset allows you to assess risks and identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring the highest quality standards for the materials procured.
You have a background in procurement or supply chain management, with experience in industries such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or laboratories. You've worked in environments where precision, compliance, and timely delivery of supplies are critical to business operations. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced company like CLS, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our lab services.
