As a Pastry Chef at Avoca Dunboyne, Co. Dublin, you will be part of a dynamic team that crafts artisanal food offerings and award-winning cafes, restaurants, and food markets.
About the Role
We seek an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team, contributing to the preparation of high-quality food in line with Avoca standards and quality. This is a permanent position that offers opportunities for career advancement.
You will work closely with our experienced chefs to develop our artisanal food offering, preparing cakes, pastries, and other baked goods that meet Avoca's rigorous standards and recipes.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting the Head Chef in delivering consistently high-quality food to Avoca customers.
* Staying up-to-date with new products, recipes, preparation techniques, and HACCP requirements.
* Ensuring health and safety standards and food management systems (HACCP) when the Head Chef is absent.
* Managing stock rotation, ordering products from suppliers, and maintaining attention to stock levels.
Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
* Ability to work well with your team during busy periods.
* Contributing creativity to menu design.
* Familiarity with HACCP and its implementation.
* Attention to detail, especially in relation to health and safety rules.
* Energy, friendly disposition, strong interpersonal skills, and a good team player.
* Reliability and trustworthiness.
