Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Information and Communication Studies within UCD School of Information and Communication Studies. The School of Information and Communication Studies (ICS) at UCD is a diverse, interdisciplinary and fully research active school. We are committed to high quality interdisciplinary research and teaching across a range of informationrelated areas. ICS is now looking for an Assistant Professor to support our programmes, such as our internationally recognised MSc in Human-Computer Interaction and MSc in Information Systems. We are seeking a candidate with interest in research and teaching with design and/or technical skills within a social science context. This call is open to applications from outstanding early-career researchers with excellent research track records in domains complementary to or further enhancing the research activities of the School, in areas including (but not limited to) human-computer Interaction, conversational agents, large language models, ethical and explainable AI systems, wearable, virtual and augmented technology design and so on. We invite applications from scholars who can contribute to and expand our strengths in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), critical and applied AI and Information systems, and teach across our other programmes in the School. The appointee will be expected to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to supervise Masters projects and PhD research. The appointee will diversify and enhance the academic activities carried out by colleagues in the School and will work collaboratively in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as well as growing postgraduate research in ICS. 95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary Scale: €64,112 - €101,524 Per Annum Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
