Senior Parts Advisor / Parts Manager Reporting to the Aftersales Manager About Us: Slatterys Garage Ltd was founded in 1965 & has been Main Dealer for the Peugeot brand since 1973. As a result of our ongoing expansion and business growth, we are seeking to appoint a positive and motivated individual with a 'can do attitude' to join our successful, fast paced & award winning aftersales team. Role responsibilities: Assist and advise customers via telephone, online and face to face. Ensure parts are efficiently pre-picked and distributed to service technicians at the beginning of each day. Process orders from customers and service advisors. Build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with new and existing customers & suppliers. Utilise the Company dealer management system (DMS) to process orders and invoice customers. Monitor vehicle health checks to select required parts and price them accurately to allow customer quotes to be completed in a timely manner. Ensure that parts issued are charged correctly to appropriate jobs. Communicate with the service advisors and technicians about inventory, pricing, and delivery times. Maintain an organised parts inventory ensuring that parts are held at the correct bin locations and that all parts issued are properly accounted for. Order parts from manufacturers and other suppliers. Correctly account for all parts received and ensure that they are stored in appropriate bin locations. Comply with health and safety standards. The successful candidate will ideally: Have experience working in a busy Parts department at a Main franchise dealer. Possess a good knowledge of motor vehicles and a have a technical background with the ability to interpret a complex parts catalogue. Have the ability to work alone or in cooperation with other team members to deliver excellent customer service. Work to sales targets and complete tasks in allotted times in accordance with Company and manufacturer standards. Be computer literate and follow processes in accordance with the Company dealer management system (DMS). Be punctual and show initiative while demonstrating a strong work ethic. Be confident enough to mentor and coach less experienced team members. Good attention to detail and a desire to get the job done to a high standard. Willingness to learn & develop Good attendance and time keeping Can-do attitude is essential.
