Summary of Position: This position is responsible for the sales of all assigned accounts in accordance with the marketing plan to attain maximum sales and customer profitability. Full Commercial responsibility for managing and developing the business with Grocery Multiples.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Institute rigorous, data driven sales processes and tools to enable improved execution and visibility to identify opportunities and drive active programs.
2. Creation and agreement of customer JBP’s.
3. Support and manage the company’s attainment of volume, revenue and profit targets with emphasis on building a strong reputation by building brand loyalty through superior customer service.
4. Own the Commercial Strategy within key accounts.
5. Manage national accounts portfolio to maximise the value we extract from same.
6. Develop and build relationships with existing and new customers, delivering listings and promotional implementation through increasing business and customer satisfaction.
7. Identify and optimise new opportunities in the market to deliver growth targets.
8. Provide detailed customer analysis as required to support business and market planning processes.
9. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maximise efficiencies for customer experience.
10. Recruit, retain and motivate the sales talent to ensure the highest levels of service and performance.
11. Effectively communicate account initiatives and execution plans to the field sales teams and management.
12. Support the field sales team with key local customer events and problem resolution when necessary.
13. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives.
14. Develop sales pipeline and build a database of Commercial Sales prospects.
15. Convert these prospects to customers.
16. Work with all product lines on enhancements and new product development; marketing programs; sales tools; and pricing strategies related to the industry.
