Clinical Nurse Specialist - Occupational HealthBon Secours Hospital Limerick is inviting applications for the position of Clinical Nurse Specialist – Occupational Health. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will be responsible for managing the Occupational Health Service at the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick and ensuring an efficient confidential service to employees. The CNS will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of a comprehensive & pro-active occupational health service at the Hospital.The CNS will also be responsible for the Health Safety and Welfare of employees and that they will be cared for in a holistic and professional manner.Post: Full-time permanent position.Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate is required to be flexible in both working days and times.Remuneration: €59,661 - €75,389 (based on experience)Bon Secours Health System is developing a new 150 bed medical facility in Ballysimon to the east of Limerick City. Building works have commenced with a plan to open this new state-of-the-art hospital in 2025. This commitment will see the expansion of surgical specialties currently delivered by Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons plus the addition of cardiology, MAU and other medical services.Essential Criteria:Registration in the General Division of register of Nurses kept by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).Level 8 Award relevant to the specialist area of Occupational HealthA minimum of two years’ experience in Occupational Health, preferably in a hospital environment.Demonstrated commitment to employee Health, Safety and Welfare.Excellent organisational, communication, IT and administrative skills.Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage and lead Occupational Health practices, policies, and procedures in line with legislation, best practice and Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work Act.Management of pre-employment, employee referrals and immunisation and vaccination programmes.Co-ordinate and manage other various Nurse led Programmes including bloods, maintenance of records for all staff.Advise on and administer immunisation programmes.Conduct assessments on staff post incident.To practice within and support the Bon Secours Mission and Values, policies, procedures, guidelines and new initiatives as directed / introduced by the hospital.Provide emergency assessment and initial treatment/first aid of employees’ injury or illness and make referrals to outside services where required.Audit operational processes to the standards of best practice in order to optimise use of resources and to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.Participate in the implementation of related Hospital programmes e.g. Health & Safety initiatives, Induction, Absenteeism control, Infection Control and Employee Wellbeing.Informal enquiries to: Stephanie McGrath, HR Business Partner, stemcgrath@bonsecours.ieHow to apply:Please click on the Apply button aboveClosing date for receipt of applications is 12pm on Monday, 3rd February 2025.BON SECOURS HEATH SYSTEM IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYER.
