Nurse Manager (CNM2) Children's Respite Service

Saint John of God Community Services, Dublin South East Services are now inviting applications for the post of Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM2) for our children's respite service.
We are seeking applications from interested and energetic people, to lead, and manage our Children's Respite Service, Angels Quest based in Glenageary in Dun Laoghaire.
Dublin South East provides a network of education, training, employment, respite and community living supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities in South Dublin.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a renowned service in the intellectual disability
sector. We are funded by the HSE and as such the role is within the public service and subject to annual increments, generous annual leave, and pensions. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of the children attending respite and their families. This post provides therapeutic interventions, practical support, and nursing support where appropriate to meet the needs of the individual children/young people.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will work closely with the respite management team and will lead a staff team of nurses, health care assistants and social care workers.
This is a 37.5 hour a week post, working Monday to Friday. However, working cover may be required at times either in the evenings and/or at the weekend.
A key part of this role is that you will be the named Peron in charge for the children respite service per HIQA and form part of the on-call roster system for the service.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
Be on the current register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland and preferably RNID trained with 3 years' experience in working with those with intellectual disabilities.
Previous Person in charge experience desirable.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Health Act Regulations, HIQA Standards, and all other relevant legislation as well as relevant social care models
Experience in the area of Intellectual disabilities essential
Experience of working with children advantageous
Good leadership qualities, including excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Previous auditing skills.
The ability to manage, develop and motivate a staff team
A flexible working approach that responds to the changing needs of the service
A vision for change management and innovative
An appreciation of the dynamic balance between risk and opportunity.
Remuneration
Location
The location of this role is Dublin South East. We have a purpose-built children's respite centre on our campus in Glenageary, providing a welcome break for families, and fun and development for children who attend. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require. You will be given as much notice of any such change of place of work as is reasonably practicable.
