Title: Club Chartered Physiotherapist

Reports To: Head of Medical/Physiotherapy
Purpose:
To provide Match Day, Training and Follow Up Physiotherapy services to the 1XV, 2XV, Women’s XV and Men's and Women's Underage Squads of Shannon RFC. Club Physiotherapists will work to support the overall success and professionalism of Medical/Physiotherapy services provision at Shannon RFC.
Key Role Objectives:
1. Working directly with the Head of Medical to support players, coaches and management to ensure that players receive the best possible medical care and athletic development.
2. Diagnose, treat, and refer player injuries as appropriate, and deliver best practice Sports/MSK Physiotherapy advice and injury management.
3. Provide timely, comprehensive and accurate post-game injury and rehabilitation reports to the Head of Medical.
4. Work within your scope of practice and in adherence with IRFU Medical, Health and Safety and Child Welfare best practices.
5. Maintain accurate records, report all incidents, hazards and accidents appropriately.
6. Engage in CPD and be open to feedback and learning opportunities as they arise.
Criteria:
1. BSc or MSc Degree in Physiotherapy
2. Member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy (ISCP)
3. Registered with CORU
4. Professional Indemnity Insurance
5. SAFERugby Level 2 or Pitchside First Aid (*before season commences)
6. Taping and Strapping (*opportunities provided to learn and develop skills)
New Graduate Physiotherapists: are welcome to apply if available for preseason internship/training opportunities, CORU Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance to be in place before season commences.
