Join a dynamic technology team supporting the backbone of a leading financial services firm. As an Application Support Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of proprietary trading and reconciliation platforms. You’ll collaborate with developers, engineers, and end-users to deliver robust solutions that drive investment and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary contact for application support, troubleshooting technical issues and assisting users.
* Provide hands-on support for trade order management and reconciliation applications.
* Monitor system health, identify performance bottlenecks, and resolve incidents promptly.
* Assist in the setup and ongoing maintenance of application environments.
* Manage SFTP connections and ensure secure data transfers.
* Contribute to internal documentation and user training initiatives.
* Participate in validating new features and updates before production rollout.
What We’re Looking For:
* 5+ years of application support experience within financial services.
* Solid understanding of trading systems and financial instruments (fixed income, equities, options, FX).
* Proficiency in SQL and experience with FIX protocol.
* Strong Python scripting skills.
* Familiarity with ETL processes, especially in .Net environments.
* Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
* Prior experience supporting trading platforms is essential.
* Experience on the buy-side is a plus, but not required.
