This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven candidate who is keen to progress within Ireland’s fastest growing professional services firm. The position offers excellent prospects for progression and on-going career development. This role will involve providing VAT support to Directors and Partners on tax advisory and liaising with Irish and international clients and advising on all relevant VAT issues. To be considered for this role you will have a relevant tax, legal or accountancy qualification and a minimum of five years in a professional tax, legal or accountancy environment working within VAT.
We wish to recruit one trainee to join our Corporate Secretarial Services team. We are looking for graduates/postgraduates who are ambitious and want to start their career in the area of company secretarial/governance.
Responsibilities
1. Reporting to the company secretarial management team, you will perform the usual duties associated with a trainee role:
2. Preparation and filing of statutory forms and attendance at the Companies Registration Office.
3. Arranging for company formations and branch registrations.
4. Updating the company secretarial database.
5. Maintenance of company secretarial records to include updating Minute Books and Statutory Register.
6. Dealing with queries and requests, on a day to day basis, from clients, auditors, solicitors and internal staff, including company searches.
7. Taking ownership of a portfolio of clients and being responsible for ensuring that clients are meeting their statutory obligations.
8. Keeping up to date with filings, and producing documentation in respect of the Annual General Meeting and other minutes, as required.
9. Responsibility for billing clients and debtors’ collection.
10. Filing, archiving and general administrative duties.
Key Requirements
1. Have a desire to complete corporate governance or company secretarial qualification.
2. Highly organised.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. An ability to prioritise and multi-task is essential.
5. Familiar with statutory obligations under the Irish Companies Act is an advantage.
6. Computer literate with experience of word, excel and company secretarial package eg. GEMS, Blueprint etc is an advantage.
7. Strong client focus with excellent oral and written communication skills.
