Engineering Manager - Technical Leadership / Dev Sec Ops
A dynamic Engineering Manager is sought after to drive technical excellence, security, and architecture in a Microsoft-first environment (.NET & Azure). This is not just a people management role – you will own technical decisions, guide high-quality software development, and shape the future of the engineering function.
The Role
* Technical Leadership: Define and enforce coding standards, security, performance, and scalability within a .NET & Azure environment.
* Software Architecture: Lead architectural decisions to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
* Security & Dev Sec Ops: Embed security into the development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding practices, compliance, and vulnerability management.
* CI/CD & Automation: Optimise build, test, and deployment pipelines to drive automation, efficiency, and reliability.
* Mentorship & Code Quality: Provide technical guidance to developers through code reviews, coaching, and hands-on development when needed.
* Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product teams, Dev Ops, and QA to deliver high-quality, well-tested software solutions.
* Technology Evaluation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and ensure the adoption of modern development tools and frameworks.
About You
* You're a great fit if you have:
* Proven experience in a technical leadership role within a .NET & Azure environment.
* Strong .NET development skills, including C#, ASP.NET Core, and microservices architecture.
* Expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Dev Ops, App Services, Functions, and Kubernetes (AKS).
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation tools.
* Deep understanding of secure coding principles, Dev Sec Ops, and security best practices.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability and performance.
* Experience mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation.
Bonus Skills (Desirable, but not essential)
* Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React or Angular.
* Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or AI/ML.
