Our client is one of Ireland's leading FIT OUT Contractors who works on mixed-use commercial, labs, and high-tech manufacturing projects.
You will play a key role in applying the commercial and contractual processes and will partner with all levels across the business to gather and understand operational and commercial information related to their specific projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
The Quantity Surveyor will manage the commercial aspects of a variety of fit-out projects which will vary in size and value.
The Quantity Surveyor's duties include:
1. Collaborating closely with the Project Delivery team to ensure accurate monthly and quarterly cost booking.
2. Leading the involvement in negotiating change orders for various contracts.
3. Liaising with Senior Project Managers to create a one-team culture and approach to delivering the project to the Time, Cost, Quality, and Corporate Responsibility targets and deliverables, always acting in the best interests of the company.
4. Preparing subcontract and supplier documents.
5. Timely drafting of commercial/contractual correspondence and supporting project correspondence.
6. Supporting the Project Delivery team by negotiating and agreeing on works with subcontractors and ensuring final accounts are closed in a timely manner.
7. Preparing monthly valuations, cost reports, variations, and submitting final accounts in a timely manner.
8. Ensuring risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets are reviewed and updated monthly and included within monthly reports.
9. Assisting with Tender Submissions including but not limited to:
1. Take Offs / Compile BOQ from drawings.
2. Assessing Drawings, BOQ & Work Requirements at Tender Stage.
3. Identifying issues within the tender documents.
10. Ensuring that all reporting is accurate and completed to agreed timescales.
11. Ensuring the project and programme contract, cost, quality, and time targets are met.
12. Ensuring prompt and regular submission of main contract payment applications and ensuring that subcontractor payments are dealt with fairly and in accordance with subcontract terms.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Quantity Surveying.
2. 4-6 years' experience in either Quantity Surveying roles in a Construction/Engineering business, ideally with a Fit Out Design and Build contractor.
3. Build soft and Cubit experience is an advantage.
