Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company, is keen to hire an Associate Scientist to join their team in Mayo on a 12-month contract.
Responsibilities of an Associate ScientistRecognize and report experimental variances.Learn and effectively implement new experimental protocols and/or techniques.Maintain laboratory equipment and optimize laboratory operations for efficient use of time and laboratory supplies and reagents, when appropriate.Analyse and critique results, noting significant deviations.Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field.Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
Impact projects mostly through lab and/or pilot plant-based activities.Apply basic scientific principles to research.Consult literature to understand the scientific purpose of assignments.

Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature.Ideal Background:Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent education, with typically 6-12 months experience or Master's Degree or equivalent education (no additional experience).GMP Experience.Ability to work independently.Experience with simple chemistry techniques preferable (i.e.
