This Group HR Manager role is opening pandora’s box, part two. What’s hiding inside might surprise you.
HR has been late to the party, but is making up for it now.
Would the following appeal to you?
1. Business seeking constructive change
2. Significant HR responsibility with freedom and scope to drive change
3. Diverse product portfolio and customer base offering stability and security in the short-term and growth and opportunity in the longer term
The above wasn’t the case always. You may be surprised that a business with thousands of employees and a €xxxM turnover has until recently adopted an approach to HR similar to budget airline flights – get the job done, but certainly no frills.
Across it’s multi-site operation, there was little consistency and where really good practise was being shown, there weren’t the pathways to roll it out to the broader group.
That all changed last Autumn.
The creation of a new centralised HR & People function was started across HR, people, talent, L&D & Projects totalling a c.€k investment.
And this is where you will come in, helping the new Head of HR Ireland to develop and implement a HR strategy that is not just fit for purpose but best in its class, because everyone wants to travel premium class rather than economy every once in a while?
What will you be doing?
Understand and solve a myriad of different problems and issues to help build a great people plan which in turn will allow for closer collaboration between the separate business units. Maintaining the status quo this is not, but you will gain an awful lot of professional satisfaction by putting in place these new systems (which incidentally will look great on your CV too).
What do you need?
Having worked in a blue collar environment, you will have people management experience and CIPD.
Please apply with your CV today (or whatever you have, e.g. your Linkedin Profile). For more information contact Dominic.
