The roleDigital Communications Manager
1.0WTE Full Time, Specified Purpose Contract (to cover maternity leave of 12 months)
The Digital Communications Manager in SPMHS will develop and oversee the implementation of cross-platform content strategies, raising the organisation's brand awareness and driving engagement through the creation and dissemination of multimedia content online and within digital health platforms.
The Digital Communications Manager will report to the Director of Communications and Advocacy.
The Digital Communications Manager position is a hybrid role.
While it is predominantly based remotely, the role requires working at least one day a week from St Patrick's University Hospital in Dublin 8, with additional onsite and in-person working as required.

ResponsibilitiesTo develop and oversee the implementation of a content strategy for the organisation's digital platforms, including two websites, the staff Intranet, and social media channels.
To manage and oversee a project to redesign the organisation's public-facing websites, working with the chosen website agency and multiple stakeholders to plan, create content for, test and launch user-friendly, responsive, and accessible websites.
To develop digital and social media policies and practices for the organisation, incorporating various platforms and content types.
To oversee the development of internal governance structures to ensure that content shared through digital health platforms is published and maintained with care.
To develop editorial and social content calendars for the organisation's digital channels, liaising with relevant SPMHS staff and partners.
To manage the production of diverse forms of content for digital health platforms.
To monitor content performance, maintain ownership of analytics and reporting, and identify opportunities for enhancing performance.
To create, edit, curate, and commission shareable content for all platforms.
To create design briefs for digital and social campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all formats and platforms.
To oversee the performance and management of the content management systems (CMSs) for the organisation's public-facing websites.
To plan and conduct audits to ensure accuracy of and identify gaps and opportunities for enhancement of website content.
To manage digital staff and budget, and to foster third-party vendor relationships as required.
To identify opportunities for the enhancement of content and digital performance.

Working Week:
The hours applying to this position will be 35 hours per week.
The job holder may be required to work extra time depending on the requirements of the job and at the discretion of management.
No overtime payment will be made.
Salary:
The salary for the position is based on the Clerical Grade VII 2024 pay scale, €64,500 - €70,656, and is commensurate with experience.
Annual Leave:
The annual leave associated with the position is 26 days per annum.
Pension:
All pensionable staff become members of the pension scheme after successful completion of probation.
Probation:
The appointee will be appointed in a probationary capacity for the first six months during which time the job holder's performance will be subject to ongoing review.
Health:
The appointee must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the position.
Character:
The appointee must be of good character.
Retirement Age:
Normal retirement age for employees is 66 years.
