Responsibilities:
1. Support the Project Manager to manage and supervise personnel on site.
2. Lead by example - set, monitor, and enforce the standards of safety and exemplary quality of work.
3. Assume leadership on site regarding the work being carried out and follow & implement the site safety plan & rules.
4. Ensure that employees have the relevant training and expertise to carry out their work safely and professionally.
5. Manage labour resources on site to ensure efficiency, plan labour and material resources ahead of time, and manage subcontractor labour hours.
6. Manage subcontractor activities including tracking progress against schedule.
7. Ensure regular communication with subcontractors, addressing performance issues and maintaining working relationships.
8. Maintain performance management of supervision and other personnel under your remit, reporting any incidents and taking action as appropriate.
9. Ensure materials are checked and match the project specification prior to installation on site.
10. Implement the project quality plan, ensuring all snag lists are closed out in a timely fashion.
11. Be involved in project handover to client, supporting the close-out of project items in conjunction with the Project Manager.
12. Ensure works are completed as per project scope, with any additional works or changes requested approved by the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
1. Trade or Degree qualified in an electrical discipline.
2. Proven track record in the electrical contracting space, with at least 5 years in a construction management position.
3. Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate your team and manage subcontractors on site.
4. Strong knowledge of the design and construction process.
