Job Description:
EUROSPAR Strokestown, Elphin Street, Strokestown, Co. Roscommon is recruiting both full & part time Deli Assistants to join their fantastic team.
CUSTOMER CARE
1. Serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner providing an exceptional standard of customer care.
2. Communicate with customers in an effective and welcoming manner.
3. Deal with customer complaints in a professional and pleasant way, referring to the Store Manager where appropriate.
4. Ensure products are served to customers in line with Food Hygiene Requirements.
5. Maintain knowledge of current deli sales and promotions.
6. Assist customers with queries regarding deli products.
OPERATIONAL & STORE PRESENTATION
1. Maintain the Deli area and equipment to the required level of Hygiene, ensuring cleaning is carried out as per Food Hygiene Policy.
2. Receive and check stock in line with company guidelines.
3. Ensure product is stored and displayed in line with food hygiene policy and merchandising policy.
4. Rotate stock appropriately to minimize waste.
5. Be vigilant at all times to prevent stock loss and waste.
6. Conduct stock takes as instructed by the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager.
7. Comply with food hygiene practices in line with HACCP regulations.
8. Take care for your health & safety and that of your colleagues and customers, taking action to reduce risks and hazards.
FOOD SERVICE
1. Check temperatures in the deli area ensuring compliance with HACCP regulations.
2. Maintain HACCP records in line with store policies.
3. Monitor Critical Control Points and ensure food is not exposed to contamination.
4. Comply with relevant controls around all foods including Fresh and Red Meats.
GENERAL
1. Any other duties assigned by the Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Experience would be beneficial.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Numerical abilities.
4. The ability to work as part of a team.
5. The ability to use initiative.
6. Sound judgement with the ability to make decisions.
7. Self-motivated.
8. Knowledge of Food Hygiene would be beneficial.
