Job Title: Financial Lines Underwriter

Financial Lines Underwriter wanted for Insurance Entity-South Dublin
Abrivia are currently recruiting a Financial Lines Underwriter to join our client due to continued growth within the book of business and also the addition of some new product lines.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience within Financial Lines and will have the opportunity to work on a diverse book of business including PI, Cyber, Life Science, D&O, and others.
This role is hybrid and comes with an excellent package and on-site parking
Your Role:
1. Underwriting various Financial Lines products including Professional Indemnity, D&O, Cyber & Life Science
2. Collaborating with the Financial Lines manager to expand and enhance products in coordination with new and existing capacity providers.
3. Participating in binder renewals and audits conducted by Capital Providers.
4. Achieving sales targets while upholding underwriting standards.
5. Proactively managing policy renewals, including issuing proposal forms, negotiating renewal terms, and ensuring timely completion of documentation.
6. Maintaining close relationships with brokers to foster client retention.
7. Processing mid-term amendments efficiently.
8. Developing a comprehensive understanding of all Financial Lines products.
9. Cultivating relationships with brokers through various channels such as correspondence, phone communication, and attendance at broker meetings as needed.
10. Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement in team efficiency and quality, while striving to meet personal and team objectives.
Your Skills:
11. Results-driven with the ability to make independent decisions and work autonomously.
12. An experienced underwriting professional with a proven track record in Financial Lines.
13. CIP qualified.
14. Demonstrated experience in effectively managing relationships with brokers and clients.
15. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
16. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
17. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
18. Proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
19. Commitment to maintaining high standards of underwriting excellence.
