Job Title: Associate/Senior Associate
Our client, a leading Dublin law firm, has advised prominent public and private sector clients on diverse projects spanning construction schemes to complex engineering projects with significant project finance elements.
Market Leadership
The team provides expert advice throughout the construction cycle, encompassing:
* Procurement strategy and contract structures
* Negotiation of construction contracts and professional appointments
* PFI/PPP project agreements and development/funding arrangements
In addition, the firm offers proactive advice on risk management, problem-solving, and dispute resolution.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Advising clients on the full spectrum of construction activities from contract drafting and negotiation to dispute resolution
* Providing expertise in procurement strategy, including EU procurement issues
* Drafting and negotiating construction contracts, professional appointments, bonds, guarantees, collateral warranties, and associated documentation
* Contracting alternatives such as framework and partnering arrangements
* Risk analysis and management
* Bonds and securities
* Project insurance
* Project administration
* Construction dispute management (including litigation, arbitration, conciliation, mediation, adjudication, and other ADRs)
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in a construction practice
* A strong analytical ability
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making
* Ability to work in pressurized situations
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; the ability to manage a busy workload and meet client needs consistently
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* A strong interest in maintaining, developing, and sharing relevant legal knowledge
Education
The successful candidate will:
* Have an excellent academic background
* Hold at least a 2.1 honors degree in any discipline
* Be qualified as a solicitor or barrister in Ireland or England and Wales
