Our Supply Chain/Procurement team are looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our first European manufacturing site in Athenry. As a Warehouse & Logistics Manager, you will supervise and coordinate daily employee activities including Unloading, Receiving, Transporting, Order Picking, Shipping, Putaway, Cycle Counting and Inventory Control of raw materials and/or finished goods. You will also drive continuous improvement in the operation while ensuring teams are achieving daily operational targets.
Where you come in:
1. You will hire, train,provide supervision and coach a team of material handlers and leads in daily warehouse operations ensuring that daily targets are achieved while maintaining compliance to quality and safety procedures
2. You will drive a high performing culture by developing a robust training and coaching program including establishing new hire/onboarding process, driving a cross training program, conducting performance reviews with employees on a regular basis, and creating development plans for employees
3. You will establish and report on daily, weekly, and monthly targets for material handling staff to ensure that business objectives are met. You will perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans on target misses
4. You will drive inventory bin and financial accuracy for the site through real time transactions in all processes, ensuring the completion of daily cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies and performing root cause analysis and corrective actions related to discrepancies
5. You will oversee all receiving and shipping activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
6. You will propose and implement process improvements to streamline the operation, reduce costs, and/or increase productivity while ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance is met
7. You will develop and update work instructions to define and standardize work procedures. Collaborate with quality assurance to implement these work instructions
8. You will conduct detailed investigations, including 5-why, fishbone, or DMAIC to support the documentation of quality gaps through the CAPA process
9. You will drive Logistics Excellence initiatives to meet business objectives on time and within budget
10. You will ensure all material movements are transacted accurately and in real time using designated ERP or WMS inventory system
11. You will operate and provide training to material handlers on Material Handling Equipment including sit down and stand up forklifts, and manual and electric pallets jacks within a racked warehouse environment
12. You will perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
What makes you successful:
13. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 8-12 years of industry experience
14. Experience of working in Class A Operation Excellence Supply Chain is advantageous
15. You have 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
16. You have 2+ years of ERP system experience
17. You have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
18. You have experience in developing detailed process work instructions
19. You have experience in developing and reporting warehouse metrics (productivity, financial, safety)
20. You have APICS or related certification
21. You have experience in cGMP environments, and working knowledge of regulations and auditing bodies, e.g. ISO, FDA,
22. You have experience with various supply chain software/systems including Oracle, FedEx ship Manager, TMS, and/or dock scheduling systems
23. You have previous project Management Experience
