Every summer we welcome students from around the world and help them improve their English language skills in a friendly and stimulating environment by providing an extensive educational and cultural programme, and making sure that they feel supported at all times.We are currently seeking experienced and committed Centre Managers & Centre Principals for our summer centres in Dublin, Kilkenny, Maynooth and Limerick. Positions are available June - August 2025.Centre Managers oversee all operational aspects of the summer centre, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of our programmes. They lead the team of residential and non-residential Activity Leaders, act as the main point of contact between the centre and Head Office, and maintain high standards of student welfare and safeguarding. Work hours: full-time, 6 days / week.Each Centre Manager is supported by a number of Assistant Managers (varying on the size of the centre).Please note that Centre Managers and Assistant Managers are residential positions. Full-board accommodation is provided free of charge.Key responsibilitiesTrain and manage a diverse team of summer staff, ensuring they are motivated and supported.Ensure the smooth daily operation of the centre, including timetabling, logistics, and resource allocation.Oversee the implementation of the activity and excursion programme.Promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for students and staff.Handle disciplinary issues, student concerns, and incidents in line with company policies.Liaise with Head Office, local suppliers, and partner organizations to ensure seamless operations.Provide regular updates and reports to Head Office on operational progress and challenges.Ensure adherence to ATC's safeguarding protocols and health & safety regulations.RequirementsProven leadership experience in a summer school, residential programme, or a similar environment.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of safeguarding practices and student welfare management.A degree in Education, Management, or a related field.Experience managing budgets and logistics.Familiarity with the local area or cultural attractions (advantageous).Centre Principals are responsible for all academic aspects of the centre. They work closely with teachers and the senior management team to ensure the effective delivery of the curriculum, maintain high academic standards, and provide support and guidance to both staff and students. Work hours: full-time, 5 days / week.In our bigger centres, the Centre Principal is supported by an Assistant Principal.Please note that Centre Principals and Assistant Principals are normally non-residential positions; however, full-board accommodation may be provided to the right candidates.Key responsibilitiesOversee the delivery of the academic program, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and aligned with the curriculum.Monitor and support teachers, conducting observations and providing constructive feedback.Ensure appropriate placement of students in classes based on initial assessments and language levels.Supervise and support the teaching team, holding regular meetings and fostering professional development.Ensure all academic policies and procedures are adhered to, including attendance and progress monitoring.Handle student feedback and resolve academic-related concerns or complaints.Coordinate the preparation of end-of-course reports and certificates.Liaise with the Centre Manager and Head Office to ensure high standards of delivery of our programmes.RequirementsACELS approved TEFL qualification (CELT, CELTA, Trinity Cert TESOL or SQT Preparatory).Significant experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL).Proven experience in an academic management or supervisory role.Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with student placement testing and progress tracking.DELTA, DipTESOL, or equivalent Level 7 TEFL qualification.Experience working in summer school environments or short-term academic programmes.What we offerCompetitive salary and holiday pay.Full-board accommodation (residential).Meals on site (non-residential).Comprehensive pre-summer training and induction.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A supportive and collaborative working environment.Fast-paced and rewarding roles that build leadership and management experience.At ATC Language Schools, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
