Your Role:
You will be the primary architecture lead to the Payments Programme delivering on the payments transformation roadmap to evolve the bank’s current payment channels, technologies and processes from current state to the target state. You will work within the Group Architecture & Strategy team to align design and delivery to the bank’s strategic direction and target state architecture, engaging with technical leads across all technology domains and providing ongoing support and guidance to the delivery teams leading to the achievement of the business strategy.
Your Team:
You will report to the Head of IT Architecture and Strategy, providing subject matter design expertise into the Payments technology domain, working closely with the Head of Payments Platforms and the business leadership within the payments, fraud and sanctions, business teams in order to meet the demands of delivering technology change in the payments business.
Your Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership in developing the architecture vision, design principles, and approved patterns in the Payments Domain and technology.
* Develop the payments technology roadmap to meet the needs of the Payments business.
* Guide development of relevant designs which align to the future state architecture blueprints as defined as part of the bank’s Technology Strategy.
* Lead the development and evolution of the technology, solutions and architecture to enable the bank’s payments services and operations, incorporating secure and scalable integration.
* Enable the Bank’s strategic ambition and execution of the underpinning Technology Strategy through an efficient and disciplined approach to an effective enterprise architecture capability.
* Maintain the payments technology roadmap to continue to innovate from a technical standpoint.
* Ensure that all architectural decisions are fully compliant with company policies and follow the agreed Architecture governance process.
* Develop services and solutions which align to the Enterprise policies, standards & principles to support the on-going implementation of the bank’s Technology Strategy.
* Contribute to and leverage the IT Architecture Governance process to ensure proposed IT solutions are architected to meet IT principles and policies and enable business requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Lead an Inspiring Culture:
* Play a lead management role in Architecture and Strategy providing support to develop the skills and experience of the Architecture & Strategy function.
* Build and drive a culture and commitment to excellence in the delivery of architecture designs and strategic blueprints.
* Support workforce planning and shaping for Group Technology, generally, and Architecture & Strategy in particular.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Represent the Architecture and Strategy viewpoint at various stakeholder meetings, steering and external third-party partnerships.
* Maintain a strong network internally and externally to ensure Group Technology strategy and operating model remains fully informed as to industry developments and Bank’s emerging needs.
* Prepare high impact communications for a variety of audiences including Executive Committee, Bank wide and business engagement.
Requirements:
* A subject matter lead in payments technology solutions and the integration to supporting fraud, anti-money laundering, clearing, settlement and reconciliation capabilities. Experience with recognised industry payment platforms, e.g. FIS, Volante, Open Payment platform would be a distinct advantage.
* Hands-on experience and deep knowledge of national, European and International payment schemes, particularly: SEPA instant, SEPA CT/DD batch, ISO-20222, RT1 and/or TIPS, SWIFT and ISO-20022 message based payment processing.
* Hands-on experience delivering a range of retail and corporate payment solutions and service models, to deliver high-volume, secure, and scalable digital, card-based and instant payments.
* Knowledge or experience in delivery of PSD2 solutions, including strong customer authentication and Open Banking API developments.
* Knowledge of trends and innovations occurring in payment technology solutions.
* Banking integration and payment standards, including one or more of the following: ISO-8583, ISO-20022, Open Banking, BIAN, etc.
