The Risk Manager – Business Intelligence (RM BI) is an individual contributor responsible for employing advanced statistical modeling, data analytics, and data science techniques to derive actionable insights from complex datasets, aimed at aiding the Global Strategy & Plans team with a focus on GSO (Global Security Operations) in their decision-making processes. They report to the Senior Risk Manager, Global Strategy & Plans. While their role is operational, they also provide support at tactical and strategic levels.
The key stakeholders they interact with include all verticals across the GSO organization. They lead difficult problems or projects, where "difficult" is defined as those requiring coordination across a wide range of stakeholders and the utilization of statistical modeling, as well as predictive and descriptive data modeling techniques. The RM-BI takes ownership of difficult data problems, escalating them when they become particularly challenging or when encountering blockers.
They are experts in monitoring and integrating the latest industry trends and advancements in BI technology, prioritizing the adoption of effective risk mitigation decision-making methods within the organization. They are experts in designing and executing experiments to evaluate and refine the performance of models and algorithms, and in the application of advanced statistical modeling, data analytics, and data science techniques to extract insights from extensive datasets and identify risks.
They lead difficult data projects to generate meaningful outcomes that move the organization forward. This includes the development and implementation of analytical models, optimizing BI queries and dashboards, and ensuring that BI strategies are in harmony with the organization's wider objectives. They own the integration of data analytics into the organization's core business processes. They manage collaborations across different stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges and provide solutions. They contribute to the professional growth of the team by mentoring BI analysts, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the group.
Daily tasks include:
1. Critically assess stakeholders' requests to develop the best solution
2. Lead the design and implementation of complex BI solutions.
3. Mentor and provide guidance to junior BI engineers.
4. Conduct performance tuning of BI queries and dashboards.
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to define BI requirements.
6. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in BI technologies.
Key job responsibilities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience with SQL and Excel
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
