Your Role:
The Anaplan COE Analyst will support management in the delivery of a best-in-class financial systems environment. You will have a unique opportunity to develop as a subject matter expertise of the Bank’s new forecasting tool ‘Anaplan’. You will be a champion of change and a technology advocate for the Group finance department. The role will require you to be technically and commercially aware and able to adjust quickly to changing environments. The role will also require an understanding of balance sheet dynamics including Asset Quality, Capital, and Liquidity in Banking.
Your Team:
Reporting to the Anaplan CoE Manager, your team is responsible for supporting the future shape of financial systems and modelling within Finance and the wider Bank. The primary responsibilities of the Anaplan CoE include:
1. Designing, development, and implementation of models within the Anaplan platform.
2. Development of policy and best in class process around the use of Anaplan tool across Group Finance.
3. Influence and support key business decisions through the development of insightful business models.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Support the design, development, and implementation of models within the Anaplan platform.
2. Contribute to policy and best in class process around the use of Anaplan tool across Group Finance.
3. Be a champion of change, driving the continuous improvement and development of the Bank’s Management Information and Forecasting through the use of technology led solutions.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Bank, particularly in Finance and Risk.
5. Provide guidance ensuring financial and regulatory requirements and metrics are appropriately reflected in Bank planning.
6. Influence and support key business decisions through development of insightful business models.
7. Support the preparation and analysis of the Bank’s annual budget, forecasts, and medium term plan as part of the Bank’s strategic planning process.
8. Support the control environment for the integration of the Anaplan platform into the Bank’s forecasting, embedding a robust control framework, review and reconciliation process, around all material accounting and regulatory reporting balances.
9. Act as the first line of defense against Operational Risk and ensure the functional activities meet all regulatory requirements, all internal policies and procedures and the Bank’s appetite for risk.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working with planning tools, such as Anaplan, for forecasting and strategic analysis.
2. Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
4. Ability to work with and analyse large volumes of data and the capacity to derive meaningful insights.
5. Strong organisational and analytical capabilities with a good working knowledge of best practice financial processes/systems.
6. A change champion with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
7. Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
8. Ambitious with an ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
9. Strong Financial Acumen with Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) an advantage.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and SQL (an advantage).
