Key Responsibilities as Project Manager
Safety Culture
As a Project Manager, you will drive towards an embedded HS&E culture, taking an approach that creates a continually progressive culture and reinforces our number one core value: Safety.
Liaison and Leadership
You will liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce involved in the project. You will lead all aspects of Project Team functions, including PEP, Risk & Commercial Success, Financials, Processes, HSEQS, Stakeholder Management, Project Administration, Design Management & Project Close Out.
Project Planning and Execution
You will compile and implement the Project Execution Plan, with specific reference to the HSE & Quality plan. This includes preparing contract reports and providing updates to monthly cost meetings.
Site Operations and Management
You will manage the day-to-day site operations of subcontractors on site and ensure they're in line with the program of works. This includes attending regular meetings with clients, architects, and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
Quality Management and BCAR Co-ordination
You will oversee quality control and safety matters on the site, ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
Qualifications and Experience
A degree in an engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, or Construction Management) is required, ideally with experience within a main/specialist contractor. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and project execution.
