Killarney Royal, part of the Hayfield Family Collection, are seeking a professional, organised and attentive Assistant Manager to join our team.

Key delivery areas:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the quality and standards of the Hotel are maintained at the highest level and customer expectations are met and exceeded. This is achieved both by taking charge of situations arising during service to our guests, as well as providing hands-on assistance and guidance where it is needed. The role will provide an opportunity to develop skills in all departments of the hotel.
Task overview:
1. To work with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the hotel.
2. Meeting and greeting guests.
3. Dealing with guest queries in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
4. Maintaining quality standards throughout the hotel.
5. Ensuring a high level of customer care exists throughout the hotel.
6. Providing consistent management presence throughout the hotel during key times.
7. To liaise with each Head of Department to ensure that the department is functioning correctly in relation to staffing levels, customer care etc.
8. Providing assistance to all departments during busy periods.
9. Assisting with weekly labour costs, ensuring they are in line with business levels.
10. Managing staff where needed and delegating duties.
11. Overseeing staff training in all departments.
12. Compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
13. Recording any accidents that may occur on the premises during the shift.
14. To communicate with relevant departments regarding updated information or special requests with regard to an event.
15. In addition to above duties – our successful candidate will also be responsible for Ad-hoc projects as designated by management.
Role Requirements:
1. Previous experience as an assistant manager ideally at 4*/5* level an advantage.
2. Min 1 year experience as assistant manager in F&B or DM preferred.
3. Excellent communication and ability to “make it happen.”
4. Strong work ethic and high standards of achievement, integrity and attention to detail.
5. Customer Experience Champion and a strong, confident but level-headed team player capable of managing high presentation, consistency- and service standards in all the various departments and delegate tasks to ensure productivity.
6. Ability to take charge of own area of responsibilities.
7. Fluent English, both verbal and written.
8. Well-groomed and professionally presentable at all times.
