We are seeking a skilled engineer to support process development in an NPD environment, working on large-scale automation for medical device assembly and testing.
This role involves seeing process and equipment builds from concept through implementation.
The ideal candidate has experience in automated processes, visual inspection, and machine controls within a medical device setting.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimise high-yield, high-capability automated processes.
Improve process equipment performance and ensure seamless transfer to manufacturing.
Collaborate with vendors to develop and qualify automated inspection systems.
Work closely with R&D to refine medical device designs and transition validated designs to production.
Manage equipment design, improvements, and NPI process updates.
Oversee documentation, process validation, and qualification activities.
Drive continuous quality improvement and process optimization.
Commission new manufacturing technology, support production ramp-up, and identify future development opportunities.
Ensure new equipment and processes meet EHS compliance standards.
Qualifications & Experience Level 8 degree in relevant Engineering or Science discipline 5+ years relevant experience on automated equipment in a regulated industry Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good leadership abilities Experience in any of the following is desired; Automation, Automated inspections and/or New technology identification and development Additional This is a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology in the medical device industry on a long term contract basis.
