Material Planner
Overview
This role focuses on procurement, inventory management, and supplier relationships to ensure efficient material availability, balancing cost, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the Material Requirements Plan (MRP) using SAP to meet production needs.
* Maintain accurate SAP master data to ensure effective planning signals.
* Coordinate material deliveries with suppliers and address constraints proactively.
* Manage inventory levels, minimizing excess, obsolete, and expired materials.
* Resolve supply chain issues and escalate critical impacts on production schedules.
* Collaborate with Quality and Warehouse teams to address material rejections or defects.
* Support scenario planning and material feasibility analysis.
* Drive supplier performance improvement in collaboration with Global Procurement.
* Lead compliance activities, including change control and CAPA resolution.
* Foster continuous improvement in material planning and operations processes.
Skills and Competencies
* Proactive problem-solver with strong planning and organizational skills.
* Strategic and results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Skilled in engaging vendors ethically and managing cross-functional relationships.
* Proficiency in SAP and experience with ERP systems; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
Education and Experience
* Honours Degree in Supply Chain Management or related discipline (NFQ Level 8).
* Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS) preferred; Project Management or Lean Certification is a plus.
* Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
