Operations Supervisor Our client, Finglas Credit Union (FCU), is seeking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to support all frontline member services operations.
The Role The Operations Supervisor is responsible forsupervisory and operational activities,including day to day people managementand the effective running ofthe credit unions frontline services to members including in-branch, phone and web-based services.

It has20,000 members and total assets of over €86 million.
The credit union offers a range of financial products and services, including savings accounts, current accounts, personal loans, insurancein-branch, over the phone and web-based services.
Key Responsibilities of the Role Frontline Operational and
Lending Responsibilities:
Supervise and support frontline staff Supervise and assist the loans officers Exercise individual and joint personal loan approval discretions in line with the Credit policy and procedures Continuously work to improve the effectiveness of the frontline/in-branch, phone, and web services to members and the team working to deliver these services Respond to member enquiries and concerns in a timely manner Supervise and assist the cashiers with balancing and verification of cash Provide cover as a teller/cashier, as required
Staff Responsibilities:
Continuously work to support the team (circa 10 people: - Tellers, Lenders, Reception and Assistant Supervisor) delivering frontline operations and lending services Ensure that appropriate training and support is made available to frontline staff in operations and lending whilst maintaining adequate cover in key positions Prepare staff roster including co-ordination of breaks and planned leave Suggest improvements to operations where opportunities for improvement are identified to support staff and ensure consistent standards
Management Team:
Collaborate and contribute effectively as a member of the management team to the day-to-day management and the ongoing development of the credit union Compliance: Ensure all documentation/records are fully completed by frontline staff Ensure compliance and adherence to policies, procedures, work practices, and directives.
Create a culture of compliance throughout the operations and lending team.
Be aware of all relevant CU regulations and legislation and ensure compliance Reporting Reporting to the CEO Person Required The ideal candidate will have: AQFA (minimum APA lending and a willingness to complete the full QFA) Strong ability to supervise, support and contribute to the frontline team Frontline credit union or retail banking experience Strong ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels in the organisation Personal/consumer lending experience, and underwriting skills Strong attention to detail Excellent member services, people management and organisational skills A positive, can-do attitude and an optimistic outlook, and an ability to add to the positive culture at the credit union Progress IT system skills or other core banking systems skills Training and support for the specific policies and procedures of the credit union will be provided to the successful candidate.
Contract Duration and Hours This is a permanent contract.
The role is full-time (36-hour week), Tuesday-Saturday (half day).
Location Due to the nature of the role, the person will be on-site in the Finglas office.
