Electrical Design Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy - Cork City

Our client is a leading multi-disciplinary Consulting Engineering Practice with offices throughout Ireland, working on projects in the commercial, hotels, government, education & residential sectors.
You must be proficient in designing electrical services including:
1. Emergency lighting design to current regulations
2. Fire-alarm design to current regulations
3. Preparation of electrical designs
4. Checking of electrical drawings
5. Site work, dealing with clients/electrical contractors
6. Attendance at site meetings
7. Estimating values of both completed works and where required approximate values of any additional works
8. Snag list preparation (of installed works)
Requirements:
1. Level 8 degree or equivalent in electrical engineering/building services with a strong design engineering background, with 5+ years’ experience.
2. Working towards or Chartered Engineering status will be an advantage.
3. Experience in client-facing positions.
4. Experience in the design of electrical services from concept to completion for projects within healthcare, residential, education, commercial, and industrial sectors.
5. Good knowledge of all electrical/building services design guidelines, building regulations, and relevant BS, IS, and EN Standards.
6. Some knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
7. Some knowledge of Lighting Design Software, such as Dialux or Lighting Reality.
8. Some knowledge of electrical engineering design software suites such as Amtech.
9. Fully conversant in current Irish Regulations e.g. ET-101:2008 (National Rules for Electrical Installations).
Package:
€55K-€75K based on experience and qualifications and negotiable for the right candidate.
