About the Role
As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Carriage Restaurant, Library Bar, and Residents’ Lounge. You will lead a team committed to exceptional service, ensure operational efficiency, and achieve the goals set out in our budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
Manage daily operations of the Carriage Restaurant, Library Bar, and Residents’ Lounge.
Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, service, and setup at all times.
Oversee stock control, beverage inventory, and manage wastage.
2. Team Management:
Train, motivate, and inspire staff to deliver exceptional guest service.
Develop and implement steps of service, bringing forward innovative suggestions for improvement.
Create weekly rosters and coordinate with the General Manager to plan for upcoming events.
3. Guest Experience:
Deliver a memorable dining experience for every guest and handle complaints professionally.
Proactively engage with hotel guests to encourage dining in the Carriage Restaurant.
Respond to guest questions with in-depth knowledge of bar inventory, wine selection, and menu options.
4. Business Development:
Propose events and concepts to promote the Carriage Restaurant to the local community.
Use upselling techniques to drive revenue and achieve budgetary goals.
5. Compliance and Best Practices:
Maintain full compliance with alcohol and liquor policies and cash handling procedures.
Continuously evaluate the à la carte menu and provide suggestions for improvement to the General Manager.
6. Event Support:
Assist the General Manager with functions and events held at the hotel.

* Knowledge of beverage recipes, wine selections, and bar operations is an advantage.
