We would like to invite applications for the role of Medical Science Liaison Officer (MSLO) - CNS to provide an effective, non-promotional scientific service to healthcare professionals, and to maintain a high level of medical, scientific and technical knowledge and expertise in relation to the CNS/Migraine therapy area.
Area to cover: Ireland-North and the Republic
Location: Ideally located within commutable distance to our office in Swords Dublin.
A day in the life of an MSLO...
1. You will be focused on CNS (Central Nervous System)/migraine therapeutic area)
2. You will ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including the IPHA Code of Practice, HPRA regulations, and Teva internal processes and procedures pertaining to Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory legislation
3. You will build and maintain scientifically current disease area, product and therapy knowledge
4. You will provide scientific and technical support for, and maintain, credible, professional relations with clinicians, local decision-makers, external experts and academic centres
5. You will develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the structure and workings of the NHS and HSE
6. You will produce and update scientific presentations
7. You will input into the formulary process through provision of the appropriate scientific data
8. You will identify and address medical educational activities relating to disease area needs
9. You will provide scientific support to assist Medical Information in dealing with enquiries
10. You will maintain knowledge and awareness of the competitive environment, ongoing clinical research and publications
11. You will work collaboratively and effectively with both Medical Information and the Marketing department
12. You will attend national & international congresses where required and subsequently disseminate the appropriate information both internally and externally
13. You will provide therapy area and product specific training to field based, and office based non-scientific personnel
14. You will develop and review promotional and educational materials against the IPHA Code of Practice
15. You will respond to unsolicited medical requests from healthcare professionals in line with the IPHA Code of Practice and company policies
16. You will develop and educate expert speakers and faculty members, and support medical congress/meeting activities
17. You will work with clinical investigators and internal approval processes for the approval of investigative studies
Who we are looking for
Do you have...?
18. Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. PhD) in a relevant scientific/medical area
19. Evidence of a successful career as a medical scientific liaison or other relevant field based role within the pharmaceutical industry would be a distinct advantage.
20. Experience of working in and detailed knowledge of the CNS or migraine therapy area would be an advantage.
21. Good presentation skills
22. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
23. Solid data analysis and project management skills
