Role: Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Emyvale, Co. Monaghan
We're excited to present an outstanding opportunity on behalf of our client, a leading company in the food manufacturing industry, known for their commitment to quality and excellence. Located in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan, they are now looking to add a Quality Assurance Technician to their dedicated team.
What You Will Be Doing:
Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the Food Safety Management System, incorporating the HACCP plan, pre-requisite program, and SOPs.
Report directly to the Technical Manager on site performance, ensuring compliance with legislation, BRC standards, and customer expectations.
Perform internal audits and work closely with management and supervisors to ensure effective resolution of findings.
Manage and oversee projects, guaranteeing they are completed within set timelines and involve all necessary stakeholders.
Utilize Lean manufacturing principles for daily problem-solving, root cause analysis, and facilitating change management.
Proactively identify and mitigate hazards to ensure product safety, initiating and overseeing corrective and preventative actions for continuous improvement.
Analyze production quality KPIs, reporting on trends and working with production teams on effective problem-solving.
Handle external non-conformances and complete complaint investigations, ensuring a thorough approach to root cause analysis and timely implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Collaborate with Production and Maintenance Management to establish standards, address problems, and enforce corrective measures.
Who We Are Looking For:
Candidates with a minimum third-level qualification in Food Science or a related field.
Someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of executing plans efficiently.
A proven track record in delivering sustainable change initiatives and achieving continuous improvement.
Highly motivated individuals with a team player ethos, a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Excel & IT systems.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and possess excellent organisational and time management skills.
