About the team
The Compliance Applications team develops high quality products and services for Stripe and its customers that address compliance requirements within Stripe’s technology organization. The team is a power user of platforms provided by Technology Compliance, Infrastructure, and Security groups, and a catalyst for engineering teams to develop efficient controls using those platforms.
What you’ll do
You will join one of the teams behind infrastructure platforms used by engineering, security, and business partners at Stripe. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of high quality compliance applications for internal and external customers of Stripe, while ensuring these applications are reliable and prepared to scale with Stripe’s growth.
You will build solutions that may be “from scratch”, built on top of in-house platforms, or leveraging 3rd party solutions. We expect that working along the team’s technical leaders, you will be able to build software that best meets the needs of Stripe’s customers and execute efficiently on the team’s roadmap. We are a highly effective team, consistently delivering high-impact results while genuinely caring for each other.
We’re looking for engineers with a background in product development, and who are interested in delivering great user experience products to internal and external customers. We’d love to hear from you whether you’ve been working in compliance, security, or infrastructure your whole career, or would like to try your skill set in a new-to-you compliance and infrastructure engineering domain.
Responsibilities
1. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will develop and and maintain products and features supporting compliance use cases at Stripe
2. Build new applications on top of Stripe’s existing compliance infrastructure, and collaborate with teams that build that infrastructure on designing and prioritizing new platform features
3. Partner with other infrastructure and security teams to use and provide feedback on APIs that provide security and compliance functionality
4. Implement applications that address specific compliance use cases at Stripe
5. Build a great customer experience for developers and business partners using your products

Minimum requirements
6. 3+ years of engineering experience OR equivalent combined work experience reflecting domain expertise as relevant to this position
7. Experience in building products and features centered around users’ needs
8. A strong technical background gained through education or on-the-job experiences
Preferred qualifications
9. Experience in product development and design
10. Interest in optimizing the reliability, latency, and UX of user-facing front-end applications
11. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people, genuinely caring for each other and contributing to high level of psychological safety for all team members and partners
12. Problem-solving skills, determination, and a growth mindset

Hybrid work at Stripe
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €81,600 - €122,400. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
