Job Opportunity:
A Test Technician role is available at our medical device manufacturing facility in North Dublin. This position offers a 23-month fixed-term contract with a strong possibility of permanency.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setup and testing of systems and sub-assemblies against test specifications to ensure they meet all criteria.
* Perform inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications, and methodologies.
* Prepare samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules.
* Utilize theoretical knowledge and practical experience to establish causes of malfunction and non-conformance in electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operation of systems and modules while minimizing test time loss.
* Verify each system against branch orders to ensure customers receive the correct systems, including type, sequence, and peripherals if required.
* Assist Engineering in initial installation and verification of new test procedures, equipment, and products.
* Collaborate with Engineering in designing test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures as well as preliminary system test/inspection procedures.
* Complete and maintain necessary paperwork, test data, etc., for each system/module to provide accurate Q.C. records.
* Oversee and check repair work to ensure faults are corrected and conform to specifications.
* Work with Q.C. procedures related to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions, etc.
Requirements:
* Third-level qualification (Engineering Degree/Diploma/QQI Level 6 Certificate in Engineering).
* Experience in a medical device or electronics manufacturing environment preferred.
* Excellent PC skills (e.g., Word, Excel, Microsoft Windows, SAP).
