The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing our technology roadmap. They will work with business areas to ensure all technology solutions align with our business objectives and support the company's strategic goals. This role is crucial in ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports long-term goals and adapts to evolving business needs while embracing new technologies. The Enterprise Architect will lead a team of Solution Architects and Business Architects. Strategic Planning Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment between IT technology and business strategies. Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies, application modernisation and digitisation opportunities and their potential impact on the organization. Recommend and drive adoption where appropriate. System Integration: Design and implement enterprise integration strategies for IT systems to ensure seamless operation in a digital focused, hybrid cloud environment. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT architecture. Ensure any deviation from technology strategy, principles & standards are properly identified, actioned, and communicated Enterprise Architecture Governance Enterprise Architecture Processes & Tools Develop, Implement, manage and continuously improve the enterprise architecture process and artefacts. Architecture Reviews and Assessments Work collaboratively with stakeholders to evaluate andapprove enterprise-level technology decisions, promoting buy-in and transparency. Carry out and facilitate reviews and assessments of strategic technology decisions and architectures to ensure alignment with the enterprise architecture roadmap. Ensure decisions are documented and communicated with stakeholders. Standards and Policies: Lead the architecture function and technical stakeholders in defining, implementing, documenting and communicating technology standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, security, and compliance. Documentation and Artefacts: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the enterprise architecture, including roadmaps, re-usable reference architectures, diagrams, models, and standards.Develop clear well-structured documentation that clearly define system components, interfaces and data flows. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Communication -Work effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to better understand the need and ensure its being met through technology strategy, solution designs and specifications. Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, IT teams, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technology strategies and solutions. Partnership - Shape the enterprise architecture roadmap through partnership and dialogue, ensuring it supports both immediate and long-term IT and business priorities. Experience Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in an architecture role. TOGAF, Zachman, or other relevant architecture certifications. Proven track record of leading architectural projects and managing technical direction in teams. Skills Proficiency in enterprise architecture tools and frameworks. Architectural thinker who can demonstrate an understanding of the value enterprise architecture and its importance in driving effective technology strategy and planning. Understand and advocate the benefits of an architecture focused approach to IT and willing tosell the enterprise architecture process, its outcome and ongoing results within IT and to the business customer. Demonstrate an ability to understand and advocate for long-term ("big picture") decision making, while also navigating tactical, short-term challenges. Demonstrate competency across multiple architecture domains solution, application, infrastructure Programme and project architecture experience from road mapping and planning to solution design in a digital focused role.
