Job Title: Equestrian Coach
Full Time, 39 hours per week (working week Sun – Thurs)
The Equestrian Coach will play a critical role in the following:
* To work in conjunction with the Head of Coaching in the provision of quality equestrian coaching sessions to young people and adults including those with a disability.
* Delivery of all coaching sessions in accordance with Festina Lente's guidelines.
* To develop a series of lesson plans appropriate to the abilities of each riding group and/or rider.
* To deliver coaching sessions based on both human learning theory and equine learning theory.
* To contribute to the highest standards of equine welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with young people and adults with disabilities.
* Developing lesson plans tailored to individual riders' needs.
* Delivering coaching sessions in line with established guidelines.
* Maintaining high equine welfare standards.
Requirements:
* A strong interest in working with young people.
* A minimum of three years' full-time experience of coaching.
* Experience of designing session plans.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Physical ability and fitness for the strenuous nature of the post.
* Proven experience of working within a team structure.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience of working with adults with disabilities.
* Supporting individuals on a one-to-one basis.
* Equitation science learning principles.
