Job Purpose
We have a new opportunity for a Lead Vendor Relationship Manager to join the Commercial Management team to manage and have oversight of strategic vendor relationships of an annual spend of €1 billion across multiple categories ensuring cost efficiency, service quality and risk mitigation. As the Lead Vendor Relationship Manager you will be involved in developing and implementing supplier strategies, negotiating high value contracts, and driving continuous performance improvements with vendors in addition to the development, execution and ongoing management of effective strategies relating to quality, cost, innovation, sustainability and governance.
Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Management, the Lead Vendor Relationship Manager will work alongside a team of professionals to provide procurement expertise to stakeholders within the EirGrid Group.
About you
1. Relevant finance, procurement, or supply chain degree or equivalent, typically with 4+ years relevant experience within the fields of category management, procurement, or supply chain management.
2. Ability to effectively communicate, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders.
3. Experience of spend profiling, supply markets, cost drivers, analysis, reporting, and presentation preferably within a regulatory environment.
4. Knowledge of utilities and/or experience of public sector tendering is highly desirable.
5. Working knowledge of purchasing tools, platforms, and processes.
